An Carn is a Community Association that was set up to help deliver a range of initiatives aimed at creating healthy, happy and confident individuals and a prosperous and sustainable rural community.

Coffee House & Bistro

An Croí (meaning The Heart) opened the doors in November 2018 and the comfortable and picturesque surroundings, along with delicious food, has proven highly popular with both visitors and locals.

An Croí Coffee House & Bistro offers a bilingual service for those who wishes to use Irish and for those who want to try a ‘cupla focal’ during their visit.  So why not call in and try the An Croí experience.

Breakfast, lunch, tea and coffee – seven days a week. Also offers occasional themed nights.

There is a playpark situated beside An Croí and the houses.

Originally established to promote the work of craft eople and artists from all over Ireland, Siopa An Carn is now a successful business in its own right.

Siopa An Carn is widely respected as a tasteful gift shop specialising in traditional and contemporary Irish crafts and gifts; many of our products offer the option to be personalised, so you are sure to find the perfect gift.

Siopa An Carn also stocks a huge range of books in Irish & English, bilingual greeting cards, children’s games, teaching material, Irish language gifts and much more. While the shop itself is open 7 days a week, you can also order online from our website

An Coire Arts Centre

A place for the community to come together and develop and refine its identity and cultural expression. An Coire, or ‘the cauldron’ in English, boasts a real mixing pot top class facilities to accommodate local and national talent, providing the perfect place for The Arts to flourish

In addition to conference rooms and facilities in An Carn, we also have a large multi-purpose space in An Coire which can be laid out in various formats to accommodate up to 220 in theatre style arrangement. This is an ideal space for conferences with large attendance and other events such as concerts, exhibitions, film screenings and much more. It can also be laid out for catering up to 160 people for any special occasions.

Other Facilities:

An Coire has space available for rent for parties, meetings and conferences as well as an Arts Room and Craft Workshop.
